Film Scanning Capabilities When choosing a film scanner, remember that not all scanners come with adapters to handle all film types. Always check that the scanner is compatible with the format you shot. Also not all scanners can handle both negative and positive film (color prints are negative; slide films positive) and many film scanners cannot image film or slides from the new APS (Advanced Photo System) type cameras.
